Private Chat FAQ

Alpha preview launch
What is this launch?

You’re using the Alpha Preview of NEAR AI’s Private Chat. It’s an early version, so you can try it out and help us improve. The full release is coming soon!

Why is it called “private” chat?

Your chats are protected by hardware security. In simple terms: even our engineers can’t see what you write — not now, not later.

The conversations run inside a hardware‑isolated enclave (Intel TDX or NVIDIA GPU TEE). The CPU/GPU guarantees that no software outside the enclave can read, modify, or tamper with the data. All messages are signed with a key generated inside the enclave, so you can cryptographically verify that the response really came from the trusted runtime.

Why this matters to you:

Zero‑knowledge to the host – Even NEAR AI team cannot read your messages.

Cryptographic proof – You can verify, yourself, that the AI response was produced inside a genuine TEE.

If you want to read more: Intel TEEs, NVIDIA Confidential Computing.

How do I share feedback?

We would love to hear from you! On the bottom right of the chat interface, you’ll see a feedback form. Please use it to share your thoughts, issues, or ideas.

Important: While your AI chat is fully private, your feedback through the feedback widget is shared with the NEAR AI team so we can act on it.

What’s private? – All AI conversations remain private and stay inside the TEE.

What’s not private? – Feedback you submit through the widget is sent to our team for analysis and is not stored in a TEE. Optionally, you can provide your email to join our Alpha Insider program.

How can I help shape our future updates, and what is the Alpha Insider program?

We are launching the Alpha Insider program to provide early access to new features and bring your suggestions to life. As we are still finalizing the details, you can indicate your interest by providing your email in the feedback widget.

Anything else?

We’re thrilled to have you with us. Thank you for being part of the Alpha! Your feedback means the world.
